2021-11-16   Haimen Huahai Marine Safety Equipment Co., Ltd.

Emergency escape breathing device (EEBD) hereinafter referred to as EEBD is a kind of life-saving equipment, which is only used for escape from dangerous gas, smoke, oxygen-deficient environment and spaces, and shall not be used for fire fighting, entering closed spaces such as oxygen-deficient or liquid cargo tanks, etc. Not to be used as a substitute for a firefighter's respirator. It is important to understand the construction and operation of an EEBD before purchasing it.

EEBD consists of a flame-proof hood that can cover the head, neck, and shoulders. The hood has a clear, wide, bright observation window. It consists of compressed air cylinders, pressure reducers, pressure gauges, and gas delivery pipes , alarm hood, hood, backpack, etc., can provide the individual with a constant flow of gas for at least 15 minutes. Like most other breathing apparatus, the EEBD has an audible alarm, indicating that the available air is exhausted in about 10 minutes of use , giving the wearer time to evacuate from hazardous environments. Our EEBDs are lightweight, compact and easy to use, perfect for tight space, marine, industrial and oil & gas applications.

There are strict requirements and standards for the placement and equipment of EEBDs: EEBDs should comply with safety regulations for fire protection systems, and spare EEBDs must remain on board for onboard training except for designated evacuation spaces. All passenger and cargo ships must be equipped with at least 2 EEBDs in the main area , EEBD should be placed in areas where the ship can easily see, mainly the engine control room, workshop and near the escape route
